It was a year ago today I landed in France with my cat to live. And this view greets me every morning when I wake. There have been moments of panic (“What did I do?”) realizing the absence of family and friends and a true support network, but overall I am happy and my French network is growing. Life in France is different and the quality high. People are friendly and welcoming. Every day is an adventure of discovery. And I love driving the roads as with every turn there is beauty. I love the health care which is rational and accessible. I love the social programs that insure stability and fair application. People are well-cared for here and it shows. Vive la France. Vive retirement. It is truly a gift.
