Life in the Languedoc

Several of you have suggested I create a blog reporting my life here in France. So I’ve done it.

I love to write and have been writing for more than 40 years. My intention in retirement was to review all I’ve written over the years and maybe pull it together into a book. But it was never clear to me what this book should be: an autobiography? A memoir? A novel? Essays on life and living? They were all possibilities, but none of these ideas went very far nor did they motivate me. I was mostly left with confusion.

So in 2018 I began writing about the process of buying a home and moving to France. It has been fun and creative. With the feedback, it was apparent that a blog would in fact be the easiest thing to do. I could draw on past writing and ideas to build my stories. So far, I have found it stimulating. I hope you do too.
