A MICHIGAN SUMMER’S DAY

Today is a beautiful day, what I would call a perfect Michigan summer day with the temperature hovering in the low 70s, sunny, a nice breeze and no humidity. So following my French class, I went for a 90-minute walk that encircled the village. And it looks like our village pools will be opened after all with marks in place for social distancing. Summer is here! The wheat is soon to be harvested and the grapes on the vines are showing themselves. Zoom in for a closer look.

  1. Beautiful!
I ”wish” we were having that typical Michigan summer. It has been very hot and mostly dry for the past ten days. After a short, one day, respite we should be back in the 90’s for another ten days. This is not our usual fare. Your countryside looks so inviting. We are enjoying your pictures.

    1. Thank you! Last summer (2019) we had three “canicules” with heat waves and temperatures exceeding 100 F. But so far this year, it has been fairly pleasant. Even winter was moderate and never got below freezing. So I count my blessings – especially during this pandemic as I am exactly where I want to be.
